First State Bank employs a multi-faceted approach to debit card fraud prevention.  Fraud monitoring, the latest in “chip” technology, and customer access to turn their debit card on/off through online/mobile banking are a few examples of how we strive to keep customers safe from criminals who attempt to exploit the financial identity of our customers.

First State Bank uses Card Sentry as our debit card fraud monitoring and detection system. Card Sentry actively monitors debit card activity and will attempt to alert customers of any suspicious activities. If you receive a call from a Card Sentry representative, please return the call at 800-264-4274 or call the bank during business hours 806-659-5565 or 806-372-1917.

  • If your debit card is lost or stolen, immediately turn the card off via the “Manage Cards” option in your First State Bank Online Banking or Mobile App. Please contact the bank for further assistance at 806-659-5565 or 806-372-1917.
  • To report a lost or stolen debit card after hours or on the weekend, please contact Card Sentry at 800-264-4274.
